Thank God for the Supernanny

Can I tell you how much I love this show??! This lady is helping teachers across the globe, especially preschool teachers. I have my parent orientation coming up this week, and I have to be the 'big bad teacher' who tells parents what all their 'babies' should be doing. Putting on their own coat, going to the bathroom on their own, and GASP using scissors! And I know, I have my own babies that are growing up too quickly, but they are both very independant children--and I like it that way.

So you can imagine my glee when last week the Supernanny was giving her eye roll to the camera about a 4 year old that would not wipe her own butt! The mom asks when they should be doing that themselves and Supernanny says THREE YEARS OLD! YEAH!--right on!
This has got to be the most common question I get when kids start preschool. Will I wipe so and so's butt? Nope sorry, they have to do the best they can. And REALLY do you want someone else wiping your kid's butt? So thanks Supernanny--you've just saved me some doubt and validated what preschool teachers have been telling parents for years. WYOB ;)
